Job
Description
The main responsibility of
the teller supervisor is to ensure the Daily Operations of the Main Bank Lobby
Teller Line, under the direction of the Vice President working in the operations
area of the bank.
Typical Duties and
Responsibilities
- Scheduling, Supervising,
Training and Developing Staff,
- Maintaining Customer
Service standards, greeting customers and facilitating a welcoming and
customer focused environment,
- Performing as paying and
receiving teller in bank lobby,
- Responding to customer
inquiries and concerns and creating positive solutions,
- Daily monitoring of CTR
processing
- Ordering Cash for Main Bank
and Drive In,
- Balancing the Currency
Vault and the Coin Vault,
- Daily Transmittal of Cash
Advances,
- Counterfeit Note Report,
- Monitoring accuracy of Monetary
Instrument Log (MIL),
- Maintaining supplies,
Organization of the teller line,
- Supporting the Staff by
approving/overseeing transactions as needed, assisting with balancing
issues and verifications of cash outages;
- Performing monthly surprise
cash audits,
- Monitoring and providing
guidance, written disciplinary actions when necessary,
- Continuously working to
improve the operations of the teller line and the bank,
- Working with other Lobby
Personnel to ensure excellent lobby operations,
- Being a positive role model
for all employees,
- Ensures adherence to
policies and procedures concerning the Teller functions.
- Supporting management of
First State Bank.
Required Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of all basic and
specialized teller functions
- Knowledge of regulatory
requirements for financial transactions
- Knowledge of supervisory
practices and principles
- Knowledge of office
methods, procedures, and practices including the use of standard office
and teller equipment
- Skill in performing typical
financial transactions and teller functions accurately
- Ability to effectively
communicate with Tellers, Customers, and Management
Qualifications
Preferred- Experience in supervising and training employees as
this role provides guidance to Tellers regarding complex customer transactions
or request.
Minimum- Four years of bank teller experience or four years
of counting, receiving, disbursing and balancing money, and executing financial
transactions; or
Associate's
degree in Business Administration or related field AND two years of
bank
teller experience or four years of counting, receiving, disbursing and balance
money, and executing financial transactions; or
Equivalent
combinations of experience, training and/or education approved by
Human
Resources
